Review for Ice-Cold Lover

Tomorrow: When the War Began

I went for a drive to the coast to check out this movie with Miss Twelve. TWTWB is based on a book series by Australian author, John Marsden. I SO enjoyed it, and in fact will definately check out the book after seeing the movie.
A group of teens go camping at a remote area called "Hell" a good drive (four-wheel-drive of course) from their little country community. In the meantime their 'town' has been invaded by another country of unknown asian origin, (find me those flags...) and these teens-after coming back to dead animals and missing family, decide they have no choice but to fight back.
It's so great to see such a fantastic Australian movie, really recomment it.

Reading...

I generally read three or four different books at a time, and have been lucky enough to read some brilliant books recently. I'm almost finished these three below, and loving them!


Kissing Sin, is Keri Arthur's 2nd book of the Riley Jenson series starring a sex-hungry werewolf cross vampire heroine, a horse shifter lover and quite a few other past lovers.... did I mention the fight scenes and the sex scenes? Loving it!



Forbidden is Christina Phillips take on the Roman times with Maximus and Carys who share a forbidden love! I have to say I loved the opening scene (no spoilers here) and of course you gotta love/hate the bad guy!!




Acheron is Sherrilyn Kenyon's 15th book in the Dark Hunter series. I was never a fan of S.K's but this book is making me reconsider. Acheron is a god sent to the womb of a human queen to save his life. Only he grows up to endure unspeakable abuse and horrors. I'm only halfway through this book, and all I can say is I'm looking forward to his HEA!!!!

My Birthday/Cocktail party

My two eldest daughters organized a cocktail party for my 40th birthday. It was so wonderful just to sit and talk to people, with cocktails flowing out of the kitchen LOL! I think all the guests had a great time. Hubby then cooked a bbq, though I think many of us were to bloated from said cocktails to indulge in too much food.
Was also great to catch up with my brother who lives in NSW (and who many think is my twin) and whose birthday is actually the day before mine.
As if such a great night wasn't enough, my husband topped off my birthday morning (the next day) with a gift voucher with four different sessions at a beauty clinic: Visit 1: Aromatherapy Facial (swiss formulated botanica products massaged into skin followed by a gentle exfoliation then a drenching mask applied.) Visit 2: a Bliss Back Facial (tingling exfoliation crystals massaged into back, neck and shoulders and removed gently with warm compress. Silky moisturising balm then applied.) Another Lovecat Read... Nikki Logan

One of the things I love about being in a group author blog, is reading their books! The Lovecats have some stellar writers and I can't wait to read ALL their work!! I've started out with Nikki's LIGHTS, CAMERA... KISS THE BOSS her debut category romance novel!

The heroine, Ava Lange is a landscape designer, caught up in the world of tv presentation she doesn't particularly want any part of. She's a hands-on kind of girl, not a pinup poster for the network who also have her past love and producer-Dan Arnot-on their pay roll.

It was a great insight into the tv industry, and I loved the Australian setting - of course! =)
