My very first review for Galactic Flame, from Amy Hopkins of The Romance Review. 4 stars. Always nice to get a great review =)
For as long as she can remember, Eden has listened to her
father tell stories of his home planet and the prince that will come and get
her sister to be his princess there. Eden has always soaked up those stories,
while her sister grows more and more depressed at the thought of leaving all
she knows. Suddenly Genesis is there to collect his bride and mistakenly
assumes it's Eden. She know that this is an opportunity to save her sister from
the fate she's been dreading but at the same time she's caught off guard by the
incredible attraction she feel towards Genesis. When her fear of discovery
turns to a very real possibility, Eden has to decide how far she'll go to keep
her secret and the man she's fast falling in love with.
I really enjoyed this book. I hadn't read the two previous
book in the Alien Hunger series, but it was no problem to pick up this book end
enjoy it. I'm sure that it won't be long until I go back and read the first two
books just because this is a really intriguing world that I want to read more
of. Eden and Genesis have a great spark of chemistry which makes it really fun
reading as Eden finally gets to explore her sexuality. The author also did a
really good job balancing the desire for details of this new world and it's
inhabitants while still keeping the story moving. In fact, this is a nice fast
read. I have to say that I was a bit surprised that the whole book wasn't as
light-hearted as it first seemed it would be. This isn't a complaint at all,
just something unexpected. This book has strong hints as to what the next book
in the series will be and it's one that I'll be watching for.
