Tomorrow: When the War Began

I went for a drive to the coast to check out this movie with Miss Twelve. TWTWB is based on a book series by Australian author, John Marsden. I SO enjoyed it, and in fact will definately check out the book after seeing the movie.
A group of teens go camping at a remote area called "Hell" a good drive (four-wheel-drive of course) from their little country community. In the meantime their 'town' has been invaded by another country of unknown asian origin, (find me those flags...) and these teens-after coming back to dead animals and missing family, decide they have no choice but to fight back.
It's so great to see such a fantastic Australian movie, really recomment it.

I so agree Mel - I watched it the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great movie and I haven't read the book in about 10 years, so will be getting the audio book to refamiliarise myself before reading the rest of the books (eventually).

BTW - Marsden never names the country who invades only that it is in our region and to me that is more powerful.

Eleni wasn't it great!
Haven't read any of the books yet, but like you will get to them - hopefully sooner rather than later! LOL

I'm looking forward to watching this - I read the book about 10 years ago when my daughter had it for an English assignment!

Looks like everyone has read it but me!!
I'm sure you will enjoy the movie, which is apparently very exacting to the book =)

I also really enjoyed this movie, mainly I think because I wasn't expecting it to be as good as the book so my expectations weren't high. My expectations were wrong,it really was a great movie, some changes were made from the book but basically it stuck to the main storyline. Stuart Beattie did a great job of the screenplay and the mostly Aussie actors did a great job. Can't wait for the sequels
