I go through stages with my writing where certain songs and/or bands helps me to push forward with my writing. (And then of course there's the times I need absolute silence to let the muse loose.)
For the last few books I've been having a Breaking Benjamin fest, I especially love their song, So Cold. And I just can't go past Muse, adore these guys. Most especially Bliss, Uprising, Undisclosed Desires, Resistance, Hysteria... the list goes on. But I should add my very favourite song from Muse: Unintended. I could sit and listen to that over and over (and have for this book lol!) OMG - LOVE their music =)
What bands/songs do you like? Any recommendations?

I too, go through cycles with music.
Depending on my mood, and the work, I go from the LOTR soundtracks, to Adele, to Greek music, to Evanescence, to good old heavy metal with Black Sabbath. I gotta say my taste is eclectic. :)
Oh I love Evanescence - and Adele too lol!! I'm with you on the eclectic taste, though good old Rock is my standard fav =)
I always listen to music. LOL.
Static X - Cold
MacBeth - Without You
Love anything by Korn and Disturbed.
Bullets for my Valentine - these tears don't fall.
I like listening to Pink songs when I need cheered up. Please Don't Leave Me...is disturbing as hell but cracks me UP!!!
I have been listening to a Queen this week too. Probably my way of saying goodbye to an old year and in with the new. Who Wants To Live Forever and The Show Must Go On.
Hi Laurann!
Queen would have to be one of my ALL time fav bands! A few songs in there I havne't heard and will check out =)
Hi Mel,
It depends on what scene I'm in, but sometimes I have Adele playing. Basically anything soft, to heavier music. I play heaps of different types, and also too, with me, quiet times, when my mind has to connect with much more intensity. But music is my soul. :) :) I always have music playing in the house. Neigbours must think I'm mad. lol
Adele seems to be a popular choice while writing, might have to get me an Adele CD =)
I promise I *do* listen to other other music!! But whenever I need inspiration for my writing I always turn to Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell. He hasn't let me down yet (I have never seen him perform live :-) )
LOL! I used to listen to them a lot - and did see them perform live in Sydney a long time ago (and they weren't half bad!)
HOw things change...
And very interesting choice of song for your writing =)
