How many MS's are too many?

I'm in the final edits of Ice Cold Lover, scrutinizing the last chapter and taking extra special care that all the loose plot ends are tied, and the GMC neatly wrapped up. Because I loathe doing this, I tend to spend much more time on other manuscripts, getting side-tracked while I think things through on my near completed MS. I don't know what it is about endings, but I totally don't have the knack for them. Give me a scenario on any given situation, and those first words flow like butter over a hot man's, ah, thighs (g)
At the moment I have four stories on the go - and three or four I really want to finish (or revise). Question is: how many stories, are too many?

I am the last person to ask. You don't want to know how many books I've opened that I'm tinkering with! LOL. (TOO MANY) but priority ones... I mentally chain myself to my chair and just go at it. LOL. Good luck!

OMG Mel. Are you sure you're talking about yourself and not me?! I'm totally dragging my heels over my ending at the moment. I'd harbored this hope my fingers would just fly over the keys and amaze me with their brilliance - but it's not happening!!!

Laurann - I think it's very possible you're even worse than me!!! LOL
I'm mostly concentrating on three, so that's okay, and it keeps my writing fresh =)

Christina,
we're clearly in the same boat - fingers crossed we each get our great ending!

Interesting question - I have many stories rolling in this brain of mine, and it's getting to them that is the problem at the moment. For me it's the editing stage that is hard & I suppose the ending is part of that. The getting it just right.

Eleni I understand completely! Isn't the imagination a wonderful thing though - all those stories - so little time!

How many manuscripts are too many? I think that depends on the person and their brain. lol. Currently I'm on two. Having said that, I was on three, but that's plenty for me as I'd get too mixed up with anymore. :)

I am busting to write a few more that my brain won't release. I've jotted down notes, plots etc. so once these ones are finished I can get back to my notes.

I have a lot of WIPs...at least 5. And the ideas don't stop coming! For me, starting is way more fun than finishing, but I always get there eventually. ;)

Good luck with finishing edits on Ice Cold Lover!

Hi Suzanne!
You have much better will power than me! Though writing down your ideas is probably a better idea than starting yet another ms!! LOL

Hi Cari,
that sounds very much like me =)
And yep, agreed. The book gets told...eventually!

Oh, I know what you mean, Mel. I'm going through that exact thing now with my rewrite and it's driving me nuts.

I just keep hoping that between the curses and head-desk bangs something fabulous will emerge.

Cathryn, so glad I'm not alone!! Lets hope we figure it all out soon! LOL
