Reading...not!!!!

I've read not even one full category book these last two months - let alone a big, juicy paranormal or fantasy book - unbelievable for me. I easily read two or three books a week, I *make* time if need be. Plus it's a great way to make me tired before I drift off to sleep.
Between writing my arse off (and getting seemingly nowhere) until midnight or so and having Miss Two wake up at least a few times a night, my will to read has greatly diminished LOL!!! Don't get me wrong, reading is my favourite pasttime...and I can't wait to start reading my TBR pile very soon! Fingers crossed =)

I so relate to this. I only today mentioned my lack of reading to a friend. There are soooooooooooo many books I want to read but reading just always seems to come last :(

Mel, take a break and do some reading. I got sunburned over the weekend and then caught a cold from my kids so I loaded up a few books on my ebookwise... and went to bed with them. It did me a lot of good to relax and it helped me get back into writing. Don't get burned out. Hang in there with Miss Two. LOL.

Rachael, I'm glad I'm not the only one out there!! Considering loving books is what got us to be writers!

Great advice Laurann,
I'm going back to my 'No writing Friday nights' routine. The moment miss Two is in bed - so will I be - and reading!!

I have busy reading weeks and quiet reading weeks. And ATM, I'm all over the place reading weeks - ie read many books at different stages. But like you I love reading and wish I could read more. There are so many wonderful books out there. Hope you find the time.

That's true Eleni,
I'm making time now to read at night, finding my eyes are paying the price for the computer glare, so going to bed an hour earlier helps my eyes and the bonus of reading time!

I know exactly what you mean, Mel. I have so many books in my TBR pile I'm desperate to read but lately I'm only managing 30 mins of reading just before sleep so it's taking forever to finish a book. So frustrating.

I think a nice long holiday is the answer. Preferably somewhere warm!

A holiday sounds like a great idea, unwinding with a book near a pool, cocktail in hand, kids occupied at the kids club (g)
bliss!!
